MBT is currently accepting new students. Please pick up or download the MBT the enrollment form and return to studio.

Classes Start September 8th!

2010-11 Season Season
Plus Summer Schedule


~ MBT Company Division Class Changes ~

Wednesdays: Pointe 5:30-6:30
Modern/Contemporary 6:30-8:00

Saturdays: Jazz 11:00-Noon
Hip Hop 12:15-1:15 (Elective)

Enrolled MBT company dancers have all classes listed above
(along with other technique classes) included in tuition with the exception of Hip-Hop.

MBT is offering open classes in Modern, Contemporary, Jazz and
Hip-Hop
taught by Sharonda Young and Duane George.

Modern and Contemporary will alternate months on
Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 PM

Monthly Tuition: $62.00 Drop-In $15.00

Jazz is offered on Saturdays 11:00-Noon
~
Hip-Hop is offered on Saturdays 12:15-1:15

Monthly Tuition: $45.00 Drop-In $15.00

All Classes are for upper intermediate and advanced dancers. Class cards are also available for a discount.

  MBT welcomes Duane George
Master Teacher

With over 20 years performing on stage, screen and television as well as teaching song and dance in various venues throughout the country. He has studied and trained with such celebrity talent as Debbie Allen, Alvin Ailey, Eartha Robinson, Gene Anthony Ray, and Ray Bussey.

Mr. George has performed with companies including Seattle Repertory Theater, Seattle Opera, Village Theater and Cirque Productions

Stage credits include:
• Midsummer Night’s Dream
• Westside Story
• A Chorus Line
• Jesus Christ Superstar
• Don Giovanni
• Seattle Musical Tales

Mr. George teaches jazz, lyrical and musical theater for a number of organizations, and has more than 10 years of chorographical experience.
Mr. George will be teaching a master class at MBT on August 19th.

Free Community Classes

Metropolitan Ballet of Tacoma wishes to serve the community in ways that will make a difference. It is our desire to make dance accessible for those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to study in a professional school atmosphere.  If you or someone you know of wishes to participate in this exciting program-please call the MBT office at 253.472.5359 for more information. Participants must apply and will be notified of acceptance.

Metropolitan Ballet of Tacoma provides quality ballet instruction for all ages and levels of development. Our studio offers training that will help prepare aspiring young dances who desire to pursue dance as a profession, as well as recreational opportunities for those who simply want to discover and celebrate the joy of movement.
