Students who have progressed into Metropolitan Ballet's Company have demonstrated a high level of ability and commitment to the art of dance. Company dancer's are eligible to participate in MBT productions and have additional opportunities to participate in workshops at MBT led by professional dancers from around the region.

Professional

Anna Krumpos

Anna is a 17 year old senior who is a Running Start (advanced placement) student at Pierce College.  She has been dancing for ten years and this will be her 5th year in the Company  Division.  Miss Anna is also an assistant for MBTs lower levels.  This past summer she had the opportunity to attend Alonzo King’s LINES ballet program in San Francisco. Anna plans to continue dancing in college. She would like to thank her family and Miss Damaris for their love and support.

 Corps D'Elite

 Erin Brand 

Erin is fifteen and a sophomore at Curtis High School in University Place.  She plays violin in the Chamber Orchestra.  She has danced with MBT since she was three and became part of the company at eleven years old.  When she is not in ballet, Erin likes to read, play guitar and spend time with her two cats.

Mercedes Lomboy 

Mercedes is a 10th grader at Lincoln High School in Tacoma.  In addition to dancing, she also participates in cheerleading and is class president.  In her spare time, Mercedes loves to eat, hang out with her friends and family, and sleep.  This is her 13th year with MBT and her fourth year in the Company Division.  Mercedes has also attended a summer intensive at Joffrey Ballet in New York City.   After High School she plans to attend a four year university. Mercedes is proud to be a part of the MBT  family.

Annalise Nilson 

Annalise is 15 years old and is a homeschooled sophomore.  This is her third year in the Company Division, but she has been dancing for ten years.  Miss Annalise assists in Level III Extended and Level V.  In her spare time she enjoys drawing and photography.

Melissa Sugita

Melissa is a 10th grade honor student and cheerleader at Cascade Christian High School in Puyallup.  She has been dancing with MBT since the age of 6. Melissa participated in a ballet intensive this summer at Sultanov Ballet Academy in Beaverton OR. Melissa enjoys helping with the MBT Community and Level 4 classes on Saturdays. She is excited to see how God will be using her to serve others through dance.   She is grateful and thankful for God, her parents, Ms. Damaris, the MBT staff & dancers, as well as the huge support she receives from her family and friends in Hawaii and here at home.  Melissa is happy to be celebrating the 25th Anniversary  Season of MBT!

 Corps

Raechel Corey

Raechel is 16 years old and is enjoying her 8th year of ballet with Miss Damaris.  She attends Curtis High School as a sophomore and loves every minute of it.  Her favorite subjects are geometry and French, and she loves laughing and hanging out with friends.  She plays violin and piano and enjoys playing games with her family.  She has three younger siblings who she loves very much.

Hailey Mussing

Hailey is 13 years old and is an 8th grader at Truman Middle School in Tacoma.  She is an honor student and plays viola in the orchestra program at her school.  She’s been dancing with MBT since she was 5 years old.  This is her second year in the company.  Besides dance, she loves to hang out with her friends and talking about cats.

Sarah Mussig 

Sarah is 13 years old and is 8th grade at Truman Middle School in Tacoma.  She has been dancing with MBT since she was five years old, and this is her second year in the Company Division.  Sarah enjoys playing violin in advanced orchestra at her school.  Besides dance she loves spending time with her family and friends.

Lydia Peirce 

Lydia is 13 years old and an 8th grader at Ford Middle School in the Franklin Pierce School District.  She is an honors student and likes volunteering at elementary schools and church.  Lydia has been dancing since she was 3 years old and has danced in the MBT school division for 11 years.  This is her second year in the Company.  In her spare time, Lydia enjoys hanging out with her friends and treasures her memories with MBTG (Insider <3).  She is one of six in her family and leads a very busy life.

Samantha Simpson

In  her 7th year of training with Damaris, Samantha, a freshman honor student at Cascade Christian High School, serves as an ASB officer, cheerleader, and was recently elected  Homecoming Princess by her classmates.  As the Ladies in Waiting Mentor for the Daffodil Festival, she choreographed a dance that was performed at Cascade Christian’s  Daffodil Selection.  Her dancing highlight was performing as a banker in Mary Poppins.   Her favorite Bible verse is Psalm 126:3 “You have done great things for us and we are filled with JOY!”   Samantha loves to watch movies, analyze symphonic movie trailers, and  anything by Jane Austen. She would like to thank her MBT family, friends, Mom, Dad, Grammie, and Brother Derek for supporting her love of dance.
